    Computer Lab:

We need people who are experienced in working with computers and would like to help people of all ages in a classroom situation. You do not have to be an expert. We offer classes from simple mousing skills to Microsoft Word and beyond. All you need is some knowledge of computers, a willingness to learn more, and a lot of patience. Spanish-speaking volunteers would also be greatly appreciated in the Spanish computer classes.

If you are proficient in a computer application, we would be thrilled to have you volunteer to teach a class.

For more information, contact Sandra Coleman, Volunteer Coordinator at 561 868-7740.

TECH SERVICES DEPARTMENT
    Media Processing

Do you love books and movies? You can see all the new books and DVDs first if you volunteer in the Technical Services Department of the Library. Technical Services volunteers unpack and verify receipt of brand-new materials (books, CDs, DVDs, and more) and help get them ready for circulation by adding stickers. You will need to be detail-oriented, accurate, and have good manual dexterity. Best times are Tuesday - Saturday in the afternoon.

    Resurfacing DVDs and CDs

Because our media items get such heavy use, they often get scratched. We have a resurfacing machine that volunteers can operate to repair our DVDs and CDs so they may be checked out again. This task requires manual dexterity and attention to detail. Flexible hours are available during mornings and afternoons.
